When I was at school, we had a subject which was called World Art Culture. We had it more often than Russian - four times a week! During the classes, we studied music, architecture, sculpture, film industry ballet, theater of different countries and so on. At first I did not like it at all, but just some time later, I warmed to it.
So the class at school was the first time when I learnt about this blast of culture (I mean consciously). Our teacher was a very well-educated and smart woman, and she told us all about it. I really liked the atmosphere and the idea of it. I am still thrilled about this art form.
Unfortunately, I do not have a chance to go to the theater very often. The last time I went there was a little bit less than a year and a half ago. It can be explained by the amount of money students usually possess and my tight schedule :) Still, when I was small, every year I took part in Christmas productions. We had around 20–25 plays, they started somewhere on the 24–25th of December and finished on the 5th of January. We had more than one play a day, and I liked doing it so much! Now I try to attend the place where I used to perform every year.

Speaking about the plays I like to watch, these are mostly plays based on some classic literature - Gorky, Chehov and so on. I like to watch what I’ve already read. The last play which made an impression on me was "На дне" by Gorky. The actors were awesome, the atmosphere on the stage made a shiver run down my spine. I do not think there is a specific genre or a playwright that I like, I just adore the idea of THEATER in general.
